Begin to work on reception stationery design (ceremony program, menus, table cards, escort cards, place cards, etc.).
Have a final site walk through & Finalize the dinner and drink menu + layout.
Purchase champagne toasting flutes, Purchase cake knife and server if desired.
Purchase guest book or alternative and guest book pens & something to hold gift cards, such as a card box, basket or other.
Purchase gifts and cards for your bridesmaids & for parents to thank them for their support, if desired.
Purchase a wedding gift and card for Juli, if desired.
Purchase a wedding gift and card for Gina, if desired.
Finalize the ceremony song list (prelude, processional, recessional and postlude) and share it with your ceremony musician/band or DJ.
Finalize the reception song list (cake cutting, first dance, father/daughter dance, bouquet toss, last dance, etc.) and share it with your reception DJ or band.
Finalize your ceremony programs & Finish writing your vows.
Create a photo shot list for any group and family photos that can be later be shared with your photographer. Your photographer will likely have a questionnaire sent to you about this time to input your photo preferences and shot list.
Reconfirm all honeymoon plans and reservations.
Record gifts and send thank you notes as wedding gifts arrive.
Make arrangements for any speakers (toasts, etc.) for the reception.
We allot 5 minutes per toast so work with your friends on their timing. It’s okay if they are longer or shorter but having 12 minute speeches from back to back friends can really impact a timeline.
Get your hair cut, if desired.
Confirm all final payment amounts with your vendors.
Confirm witnesses for the marriage license, if required.
Designate a trusted person to be responsible for gift cards and gifts at the end of the wedding night.
Update your layout based on your final guest count. We will do this together w/ James!
Have your final wedding day attire fitting.
Schedule additional beauty appointments (manicure/pedicure, massage, etc.) as needed.
Share important wedding and rehearsal information with your wedding party & VIPS including timeline, directions, duties, etc. The Wedding Weekend Itinerary will help in communicating these details to your wedding party. We will do this together!
Schedule wedding attire cleaning and preservation for after the wedding, if desired.
Finalize seating plan for the reception.
Week of 9/17- 9/23
Have your wedding attire pressed or steamed as needed.
Prepare unpaid vendor balance payments due on the wedding day and any cash gratuities in marked envelopes for the wedding day to give to your wedding planner to distribute on the wedding day.
Pack for the wedding night and honeymoon.
If you are departing immediately after the wedding, arrange for someone to pick up your wedding attire and other personal items from the hotel after your departure.
Clean your engagement ring, just before the wedding.
Pick up reception stationery and be sure that all escort cards are in alphabetical order or names on seating chart , table cards and personalized menus are arranged in order by table.
Gather all your personal items for the wedding day (wedding attire, veil, shoes, jewelry, lingerie, etc.)
Pack a wedding day emergency kit for the unexpected.
Pack an overnight bag for the wedding night and determine how it will get to the hotel.
Prep and pack all wedding items and supplies for the wedding day.
Reconfirm and review wedding related duties with wedding day volunteers and helpers.
Rehearse the ceremony and review and important wedding day information with family and Wedding Party.
Immediately after wedding
Freeze the top tier of your wedding cake to enjoy on your first anniversary.
Continue to work on and send thank you notes for any wedding gifts received.
Write and send thank you notes and reviews for vendors.
If you plan on changing your name, prepare name change documents and update your records once you've received your marriage certificate.
Have your wedding attire and veil professionally cleaned and preserved.
